Plans and lays out work assignments, sets up and operates all types of machine shop tools in fabrication precision parts to blueprint specifications. Works under the limited supervision of the senior manufacturing staff. Reports to the Director of Manufacturing
• May act as lead person in assigning work and monitoring on-going department operations in the absence of the Machine Shop Supervisor

Candidate will be responsible for Export Compliance and Contract Management and in this role will report to the Director of Contracts. • Working within an Engineering environment, assisting in the assembly of new products and the development of new assembly methods and processes. This includes working with minimal documentation and/or red-lined drawings

• Reads and interprets blueprints, parts lists, travelers, rework instructions and process procedures to determine sequence of operations and proper assembly techniques
• Capable of holding mechanical tolerances to rigid specifications (often +/- .001”), using a variety of measurement and calibration equipment such as microscope-mounted reticules, calipers, and micrometers
• Documents and communicates technical issues, scheduling / assignment comments, and process times
• Use of basic computer skills and Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) to communicate information between departments
• Experience in soldering to J-STD-001 a plus
